The DFE BackPac™
The DFE BackPac™ unit is an independent storage device designed for the exhibitor environment that delivers USB & eSATA connectivity. Each DFE BackPac™ contains a SmartPac™ Drive Bay that is hot-swappable. The DFE BackPac™ unit is mobile and can easily be moved from cinema server to cinema server. Connectivity to the server is maintained even when drives are not installed.
The DFE BackPac™ unit is a Plug-and-Play Device that requires no configuration. Once the BackPac™ is plugged in, the user need only place the SmartPac™ unit into one of the drive bays and content can be copied directly to the digital cinema server. The BackPac™ Unit works for both Windows and Linux digital cinema servers.
